The Kobold VR7 easily overcomes common door thresholds and carpet edges. If the robot gets stuck on an edge, it detects the wheel blockage (Code 2210 or 2211) and tries to free itself. For very high obstacles or extremely high-pile carpets, the system reports a "stuck" status to protect the drive.
Possible Error Codes
- 2210: Drive wheel blocked
- 2211: Robot stuck on an edge
Tips for Smooth Cleaning
- Check height: Thresholds up to 2 cm are reliably overcome; higher obstacles should be bridged with a ramp.
- Set No-Go lines: Exclude areas with very high carpet fringes in the MyKobold app.
- Check the brush: After cleaning carpets, check if threads have wrapped around the roller brush.
- Consider carpet type: Pile over 2.5 cm can block the wheels.
Important Notes
- Flokati and high-pile carpets are not recommended.
- Long, loose fringes should be tied back if possible.
