Is your Kobold VK7 showing a code between 128 and 131? These are internal system events such as memory errors or issues with the system clock. These messages can almost always be resolved by a short restart. To do this, remove the VK7 battery for at least one minute – this will fully restart the system.
Overview of Error Codes
- Code 128 – Memory Error: Remove the battery for one minute, then reinsert it.
- Code 129 – System Clock Error: Remove the battery for one minute, then reinsert it.
- Code 130 – Configuration Error: Remove the battery for one minute, then reinsert it.
- Code 131 – Internal Communication Error: Remove the battery for one minute, then reinsert it.
Perform Restart
- Turn off the device.
- Remove the battery and wait at least 60 seconds.
- With the battery removed, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
- Reinsert the battery and turn on the device.
Important Notes
- If the same code appears again after restarting, check the filter and filter bag.
- If it occurs repeatedly within a short time, check the contacts and attachment.
- Codes 128–131 are not hardware defects, but software events.
