My Thermomix® TM5 is showing a system message. – Vorwerk Switzerland

System messages occasionally appear on the display of the Thermomix ® TM5. This does not mean that your appliance is faulty. These are usually recommendations for action which you can recognize in abbreviated form on the display.

Here you will find an overview of the various system messages of the Thermomix ® TM5, along with their causes and recommended action to take.

24	Heating element	Clean the mixing bowl contacts and refit the mixing bowl. If this does not solve the problem, the mixing bowl will need to be repaired or replaced.
30 32 36 37 38 39	Hardware	A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
69	Heating element	A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
152	Motor	A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
153	Locking mechanism	A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
176	Software	A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
192	Locking mechanism	A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
194 195 196	Hardware (motor)	A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
208	Locking mechanism	A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
224	Mixing bowl contents too warm for the dough setting	The dough kneading mode can only be selected once the temperature in the mixing bowl has dropped below 60°C following cooking. If the temperature is any higher, the dough kneading mode cannot be started. There is no need for any repairs.
225	Mixing bowl too warm for the turbo setting	The turbo mode is deactivated when the temperature in the mixing bowl exceeds 60°C. If working with hot food (over 60°C), never activate the turbo mode or increase the mixing speed abruptly. This may lead to scalding. There is no need for any repairs.
243	Motor control	A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
160 161 162	Locking mechanism	A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
23	Mixing bowl (heating)	Clean the mixing bowl contacts and refit the mixing bowl. If this does not solve the problem, the mixing bowl will need to be repaired or replaced.
52	Mixing bowl (heating)	If you have added very cold or frozen food to the mixing bowl, or if you have stored the mixing bowl in the fridge and fitted it directly to the appliance, please take the contents of the mixing bowl out, rinse the bowl with warm water, put the contents back in the bowl and carry on with the recipe as swiftly as you can. To prevent this problem from happening again, always work swiftly when working with very cold and frozen ingredients. Otherwise, clean the mixing bowl contacts and refit the mixing bowl. If this does not solve the problem, the mixing bowl will need to be ~~repaired or~~ replaced.
53	Mixing bowl (heating)	Clean the mixing bowl contacts and refit the mixing bowl. If this does not solve the problem, the mixing bowl will need to be repaired or replaced.
25 29 34	Motor overload	Follow the instructions on the display. A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
55 56 57	Scales	Follow the instructions on the display. A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
72 75 150	Hardware	Repair required.
140	Mixing bowl not recognized	Follow the instructions on the display. A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
142 143 144 145 146 147	Locking mechanism	Follow the instructions on the display. A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
148 149	Locking mechanism (lid sensor)	Follow the instructions on the display. A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
151	System has shut down because the power supply was interrupted	Follow the instructions on the display. No repair required.
501 503 511 514 517 518 524 543 546 550 554	Recipe chip	Follow the instructions on the display. If the message appears again after you have inserted the recipe chip, please try to restart the TM5 (power off and on again) to ensure that the problem is related to a particular recipe chip try to insert a different recipe chip (if you have another). If this does not solve the problem, and the message still appears, the recipe chip is probably damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced.
527 558	Internal storage	Follow the instructions on the display – repair required only if the system message keeps reappearing
513 516 519 525 544 547 551 555 560	Recipe chip	Follow the instructions on the display. If the message appears again after you have inserted the recipe chip, please try to restart the TM5 (power off and on again) to ensure that the problem is related to a particular recipe chip try to insert a different recipe chip (if you have another). If this does not solve the problem, and the message still appears, the recipe chip is probably damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced.
522	Selected language	Follow the instructions on the display to reset the language to the default setting.
523	Recipe chip language and Thermomix ® language do not match	Follow the instructions on the display.
530	Display not working	Follow the instructions on the display. A repair is only required if the system message keeps reappearing.
561	Non-supported accessories attached.	Follow the instructions on the display. If the message appears again after you have inserted the recipe chip, please try to insert a different recipe chip. If this does not solve the problem, the recipe chip will need to be repaired or replaced.
504	Recipe chip® / Cook-Key®	Remove recipe chip / Cook-Key® and re-insert. Re-start Thermomix ®. Check using another recipe chip.
559	Recipe chip® / Cook-Key®	Remove recipe chip® / Cook-Key® and re-insert. If the problem persists, reset Cook-Key® to factory settings.
562	Recipe chip® / Cook-Key®	Remove recipe chip / Cook-Key® and re-insert. Re-start Thermomix ®. If the problem persists, reset Thermomix ® to factory settings.
563	Recipe chip® / Cook-Key®	Remove recipe chip / Cook-Key® and re-insert. If the problem persists, replace Cook-Key®.
570 571 575	Connection to server	Retry synchronization. Re-start Thermomix ®.
572 573	Connection to server	Try synchronization again later.
577	Connection to server	Try synchronization again later. Re-start Thermomix ®.
580	Cook-Key®	Retry synchronization. If the problem persists, reset Cook-Key® to factory settings.
582	Internet connection	Check Internet connection. Retry synchronization.
583	Connection to server	Retry synchronization. If the problem persists, reset Cook-Key® to factory settings.
584	Cook-Key®	The Cook-Key® is not activated in the Cookidoo. In order to synchronize, please activate the Cook-Key® in the Cookidoo account.
585	Connection to server	Try synchronization again later. Re-start Thermomix ®.
586 587	Connection to server	Try synchronization again later. If the problem persists, reset Cook-Key® to factory settings.
590 591 592 593	Data access	Re-start Thermomix ®.
620	Connection to server	Remove Cook-Key® and re-insert. Re-start Thermomix ®. Perform available update.
622	Wi-Fi connection (not configured)	Retry. If the problem persists, reconfigure Wi-Fi connection.
700	Wi-Fi connection (no IP address)	Check Internet connection (at router). Retry synchronization.
701	Internet connection	Check Internet connection (at router). Retry synchronization.
704	Synchronization failed at appliance.	Retry synchronization. If the problem persists, reset Cook-Key® to factory settings.
705	Wi-Fi connection (configuration)	Retry. If the problem persists, reconfigure Wi-Fi connection.
706	Wi-Fi connection (password)	Reconfigure Wi-Fi connection (check password).
708	Wi-Fi connection(router splash screen)	Select a different Wi-Fi network. (Connections using enterprise or hotel routers are not supported.)
800	Cook-Key®	Reset Cook-Key® to factory settings. Do not disconnect. If the problem persists, replace Cook-Key®.
811	Cookey detached from the TM5	The Cook-Key® was detached from the TM5 without properly ejecting it. To avoid defects please always eject the Cook-Key® via the "Eject Cook-Key®" menu in the "Settings" menu or via long button press on Sync-icon.
