Use an automatic cleaning station — Kobold vacuum robot
initiation
The automatic cleaning station for Kobold vacuum robots empties your robot's dust container automatically and ensures that the dirt is stored hygienically. It allows weeks of operation without manual emptying and reduces contact with dust and allergens. The cleaning station is compatible with selected Kobold vacuum robot models and offers automatic maintenance for maximum convenience.
prerequisites
- Compatible Kobold vacuum robot (check model compatibility)
- Power outlet near the installation site
- level, stable area for the station
- Sufficient space for the robot to dock (at least 50 cm free space)
How it works
The automatic cleaning station for Kobold vacuum robots works fully automatically after every cleaning process. As soon as the vacuum robot returns to the station, it precisely docks to the extraction port. A powerful motor creates a vacuum and sucks the entire dust container contents into a sealed dust bag within the station.
The process takes around 10-15 seconds and is done without any action on your part. The dust is safely stored in the station bag, which must be changed every 4—8 weeks, depending on the intensity of use. The station displays an indicator when a bag change is necessary.
compatibility
- Kobold VR7: fully compatible with automatic cleaning station
- Kobold VR300/VR200: not compatible — manual emptying required
benefits
The automatic cleaning station for Kobold vacuum robots offers the following advantages:
- Week-long operation: Up to 60 days without manual emptying (depending on household size and degree of contamination)
- Hygienic: No direct contact with dust, animal hair or allergens when emptying
- Time-saving: Automatic maintenance reduces your effort to just a few minutes per month
- Odour trap: Sealed bag system prevents unpleasant odors
- Allergy friendly: Minimal contact with dust when changing bags thanks to the closed system
Installation and commissioning
- Select a location: Place the cleaning station on a wall with at least 50 cm of free space to the front and 30 cm to the sides — the vacuum robot needs this space for the docking maneuver.
- Create a power supply: Plug the power cable into a power outlet — the station shows readiness for operation with an LED indicator.
- Insert the dust bag: Open the station cover and insert an original dust bag — make sure the seal is correctly fitted.
- Pairing the vacuum robot: Start the vacuum robot and carry out the initial setup in accordance with the operating instructions — the robot automatically recognizes the station as a home base.
- Carry out a test run: Send the robot back to the station manually — after successful docking, automatic emptying starts.
upshot
After start-up, your Kobold vacuum robot automatically returns to the station after each cleaning process and automatically empties its dust container. All you have to do is change the dust bag in the station every 4—8 weeks. The LED display will inform you in good time when a change is due.
Notes & troubleshooting
Important: Only use original Vorwerk dust bags. Foreign bags may impair suction power or damage the station.
Note: The cleaning station requires a continuous power supply. Do not disconnect the station from the network, otherwise the vacuum robot will not find its home base.
Problem: Robot does not dock correctly
- Cause: Too little free space around the station or dirty docking contacts
- Solution: Check the free space (50 cm at the front, 30 cm at the side) and clean the metal contacts on the station and robot with a dry cloth.
Problem: Emptying does not start
- Cause: Dust bag full or not used correctly
- Solution: Open the station and check the bag level. Change or reinstall the bag until the seal audibly snaps into place.
Problem: Loud noises during emptying
- Cause: Foreign objects in the suction channel or worn bag
- Solution: Switch off the station and check the suction channel for blockages. Change the dust bag even if the display does not yet signal a change.
servicing
For optimal operation of the automatic cleaning station for Kobold vacuum robots, please follow the following maintenance steps:
- Change the dust bag: Every 4—8 weeks or when displayed — seal the full bag before disposal
- Clean docking contacts: monthly with a dry cloth — do not use cleaning agents
- Check the extraction port: Check quarterly for blockages
- Clean the housing: Wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth if necessary — the station must be disconnected from the network
