Built-in oven thermometers often measure the temperature at a different location than where your food is placed – for example, at the back of the oven or on the grill lid. Additionally, ovens rarely have a constant temperature – there are warmer and cooler areas.
The ambient sensor of the Thermomix® sensor measures the temperature directly at the black ceramic edge and thus shows you the actual temperature to which your food is exposed. This allows for a more accurate calculation of the cooking time.
