The Thermomix® Sensor communicates via Bluetooth® with the TM6, TM7, and the Cooking Center App. If the connection is lost, it is usually due to one of the following reasons – and can be easily fixed by yourself.
Common Causes
- Metal Shielding: Metal lids, splash guards, or ovens with microwave functions can significantly reduce the Bluetooth® signal.
- Ceramic edge touching metal or food: This can interfere with the connection.
- Charger too far from the probe: The charger must be less than 1 meter away from the probe during the cooking process. Position it directly next to the oven, pan, or grill.
- Residue on the probe: Even invisible grease acts as a barrier. Clean the probe thoroughly before and after each use – most effectively with baking soda and white vinegar along with a scouring pad.
What to do if the connection is lost?
- Carefully remove the probe from the food.
- Clean it briefly.
- Place it in the charger for 5 seconds.
- Insert it back into the food.
LED Signals on the Charger
- Red blinking: The charger is trying to establish a connection to the probe – move it closer to the probe.
- Green blinking: The charger is powered on and connected to the probe.
