The Thermomix® sensor consists of three main elements: probe, charger, and holder.
Probe
The probe is equipped with two sensors to monitor core and ambient temperature. During the cooking process, it continuously sends data to the Thermomix® TM6, TM7, and the Cooking Center App.
A reference notch is visible on the probe, which must be inserted into the food. For doughs that continue to rise during baking, the notch does not need to be fully inserted – it should be placed close to the dough surface (about 1 cm).
Charger
The charger acts as a repeater and amplifies the signal from the probe. Always keep it close to the probe – for example, when baking next to the oven, standing freely or using the magnets on the back.
Holder
The silicone holder is needed when liquid doughs cannot hold the probe in position. It prevents the probe from sinking into the dough. Depending on the size of the baking pan and the amount of dough, two insert angles (A and B) are available.
