Accessories for the Thermomix ® TM5 include the Varoma® for steam cooking. This allows you to lock in vitamin goodness when cooking and preparing low-fat dishes. There is also a simmering basket for sides such as rice, potatoes and vegetables and to sieve fruit juice. The “butterfly” can be used for perfect whipped cream, mousse and beaten egg whites: Simply fit the stirring attachment to the mixing blade to ensure perfect peaks.

SPATULA The spatula supplied is the only stirring utensil you need with the Thermomix ®: the shape is perfectly designed for the mixing bowl, so you can reach every corner and easily push the food being mixed or cooked down from the rim or empty the mixing bowl. Ingredients can also be crushed evenly (e.g. in large quantities) in the mixing bowl or mixed more smoothly (e.g. for doughs) if you stir using the spatula. The safety collar on the handle prevents the spatula from falling into the mixing blade if you use it during operation. Its shape also prevents the spatula from rolling off the work surface. MEASURING cup The measuring cup closes the opening in the mixing bowl lid of the Thermomix ®. The steam may escape and liquids can easily be added through the opening in the mixing bowl lid. Please take note of the user guide. During normal use, the measuring cup sits with its opening facing upward on the mixing bowl lid. This prevents the ingredients from splashing, e.g. when mixing. During cooking, the measuring cup ensures that as little heat as possible escapes from the mixing bowl. Remove the measuring cup to allow more steam to escape or if you are using the Varoma®. |

STIRRING ATTACHMENT The stirring attachment is another example of the careful consideration that has gone into Thermomix ® accessories. With the “butterfly”, which is perfectly designed for use in the mixing bowl, even the most intensive beating and stirring becomes a light and easy task. It can be used from stir setting up to a maximum of setting 4 and is simply fitted to the mixing blade. |

SIMMERING BASKET The simmering basket is placed inside the mixing bowl and is ideal for the preparation of sides such as rice, potatoes or vegetables. The simmering basket can also be used as a sieve or to allow frozen food to defrost. The simmering basket can also be used as a splash guard: simply place it on the mixing bowl lid instead of the measuring cup if you wish to cook sauces a little thicker, for example. This allows the liquid to evaporate – but prevents any splashing through the opening. Another detail that makes cooking easy! |

VAROMA® Steam cooking in the Varoma® is the perfect complement to cooking in the mixing bowl: place fish, for example, in the Varoma® container and vegetables in the Varoma® inlay base. Close the Varoma® with the Varoma® lid, place it on the mixing top lid – and let the Thermomix ® do the rest! Potatoes or rice can be cooked in the mixing bowl’s simmering basket at the same time. This allows you to prepare a full, healthy meal in just half an hour. Note: after preparation, you can use the transparent lid as a handy serving base. If you cook with the Varoma®, the ingredients’ valuable nutrients, shape, color and flavor is preserved as much as possible. There's no need to add oil or fat. Water is brought to the boil in the mixing bowl and the rising steam escapes into the Varoma® and reliably ensures perfect results. |
