We are bringing a new and exciting feature to Cookidoo®, a feature that a lot of our customers have wished for a long time: Scaling recipes! In general, you will now be able to scale recipes from Cookidoo® for your own, personal needs. You need bigger or smaller portion for a certain recipe? Then you can either find it now within Cookidoo® recipes, already pre-scaled for you with our Thermomix® success guarantee, or you can choose any recipe on Cookidoo® that you can then scale until it fits you. So Cookidoo® is now offering more and more recipes that fit your individual needs, and you will be able to make it more and more your own.

In general, you are now able to take any Cookidoo® recipe and adapt it to your personal needs, you can make the portions bigger or smaller. You can choose from Cookidoo® recipes that we pre-scaled for you and that come with our Thermomix® success guarantee, or you choose any Cookidoo® recipe and make it your own. We will give you then portion options, but these recipes don't come with our Thermomix® success guarantee.

How do I know if have this feature and should I upgrade?

Every Cookidoo® customer who has already upgraded their annual Cookidoo® membership has the feature. If you have not upgraded your membership, you will not have access to this feature. Of course, you can upgrade your membership any time in your Cookidoo® profile.

Upgrading your Cookidoo® membership will give you access to our latest features, "Created Recipes" and now "Scaling". Also, it will prevent you to miss out on all new features to come that we have already in store for your behind the scenes.

What does Scaled Recipes provide?

This new feature offers you to do the 3 following things:

1. Pick from Cookidoo®!

You can choose hand-picked recipes on Cookidoo® now that we pre-scaled for you. We took the most loved reicpes and scaled them for you for bigger or smaller portions. These come with our Thermomix® success guarantee and ypi can use them in Guided Cooking!

2. Pick from Cookidoo® and scale it yourself!

You can take any recipe from Cookidoo® and pick from the scale options we are giving you. These recipes, when saved, then end up in your own created recipes list for further editing or personalization. These recipes lie within your own responsibility, that means they don't have our success guarantee and come without Guided Cooking.

How can I access scaled recipes?

Basis is that you have upgraded your annual Cookidoo® membership. If you did, you can access the pre-scaled recipes on Cookidoo®, and also scale any other Cookidoo® recipe to your individual needs. If you scale a Cookidoo® recipe that is not pre-set, please know that it comes without success guarantee and that you create it at your own responsibility.

I cannot find the new function in my Cookidoo® profile. Why not? Please check if you upgraded your Cookidoo® membership. Go to your Cookidoo® profile, there you will find the necessary info if your membership needs an upgrade or not. If you have upgraded but you still cannot use the feautre, please contact customer service.

How many scaled recipes can I find on Cookidoo®?

We have looked at the most popular and most cooked Cookioo® recipes from all countries and added smaller and larger portions. Of course, we are constantly adding tested portions to the Cookidoo® recipes for you.

Will it be possible to scale a Cookidoo® or my own created recipes and use them for guided cooking?

No, unfortunately this will not be possible.

I am a TM6 customers who upgraded: Will I be able to use the feature and from where can I access it?

Thermomix® TM6 customers who upgraded can use the new feature on Cookidoo® WebApp, Android and iOS app and also on their Thermomix® TM6.

I am a TM31/TM5 customer who upgraded: Will I be able to use the feature and from where can I access it?

For pre-scaled recipes on Cookidoo®:

Thermomix® TM5 customers can see and use theese recipes on Cookidoo® WebApp and iOS and Android app respectively. You can

see,

adapt,

and plan those recipes in their lists, p.eg. in "My Recipes“.

You can then synchronize those recipes and cook them on your Thermomix® TM5 in Guided Cooking.

For any Cookidoo® recipe that they would like to scale themselves:

TM5 customers can also scale Cookioo® recipes that they wish to adapt to their personal taste on the Cookidoo® web app and iOS and Android app respectively. These recipes then end up in their own created recipes list for further editing or personalisation. You can

see,

adapt,

and plan those recipes in their lists, p.eg. in "My Recipes“.

You CANNOT be synchronized to their TM5 for Guided Cooking, but have to be cooked from a tablet or smart phone (same process as “Created Recipes”).

TM31 customers can access the new feature via Cookidoo WebApp and Android and iOS App, but not on their device. They can plan any recipe in their lists, but cannot cook them on their device.

I am a Thermomix customer who did not upgrade: Will I be able to use the feature and from where can I access it?

No, if you did not do the upgrade of your annual Cookidoo® membership. You will see on the Cookidoo® webapp that you can upgrade their membership.

Why can't I upgrade my annual Cookidoo® membership within the Android or iOS app?

Unfortunately, due to Apple and Google regulations, we are not allowed to send our customers immediately to a Vorwerk/Cookidoo® upgrade page from iOS and Android App.

I have a Cookidoo® voucher. Can I now access the new feature with this?

Vouchers open the content of Cookidoo® depending on the membership of the customer. If the customer has an upgraded membership, the voucher will also open “Scaling” and all new future features. If he did not do the upgrade, the voucher will only open the former Cookidoo® environment.

If I scaled a Cookidoo® recipe by myself, where can I find it in my profile?

If you scaled a recipe from Cookidoo®, you can find it in your own created recipes list.

What is the difference between pre-scaled Cookidoo® recipes and Cookidoo® recipes that I scale by myself/my own created recipes?

Pre-scaled recipes on Cookioo® come with our Thermomix® success guarantee and TM6 and TM5 users can of course use them in Guided Cooking. For those, we have looked at the most loved recipes from Cookidoo® in all countries and scaled those for bigger or smaller portions. In general, you will have the choice between 4 portion sizes.

You can scale now any Cookidoo® recipes you like. If you chosse a recipe that you would like to scale, we are giving you options for portion sizes where you can choose from a list. Also, on the left top buttom, it tells you a percentage of where your chosen portion size differs from the original reicpe to give you an idea. These recipes, as well as your own created recipes, are your responsibility and therefore we will not give you our success guarantee for these and you will not be able to cook them in Guided Cooking.

When I use the scaling function with any Cookidoo® recipe or if I create my own recipes, what do I need to take into consideration?

Please take the following into account when scaling any Cookidoo® reicpe or when creating your own recipe on Cookidoo®:

Always keep the limited space of the mixing bowl/the Varoma® etc. in mind (2,2 litres).

Never go over the maximum capacity in the mixing bowl/the Varoma® – especially when you are using high temperature and/or speed.

Please refer to your Thermomix® instruction manual for further reference.

Baking recipes (preparing dough) are generally set up for one baking tray/one form. Do not prepare double portions.

We will not give you a success guarantee on Cookidoo® recipes you scale yourself or your own created recipes when using scaling.
