The Thermomix® TM5 was designed to work with recipe chips and a Cook-Key®. The connection between these devices was done with the help of magnets.
Generally speaking, you are allowed to use the recipe chip if you have a pacemaker.
However, it’s possible that the pacemaker could be affected by magnets.
In this case, please handle the recipe chip in the same way as you would a standard board magnet and follow the advice given by your doctor.
On the other hand, the Thermomix® TM6 is a new and improved generation that no longer needs recipe chips and does not need the Cook-Key® to connect to your Cookidoo® account. It has its own Cookidoo® browser on its screen and synchronises over the air with your account allowing you limitless access to all Cookidoo® recipes without any magnets involved.
